From working the front lines of nightlife security to advising on national policy, my journey has always centred around one mission, protecting people, property, and progress.

​

I began my career as a licensed doorman, later advancing into close protection and asset security roles across the UK. Those early years, spent managing volatile environments and safeguarding high-profile individuals, gave me an instinct for risk and a deep respect for professionalism, discretion, and preparation.

In my mid-twenties, I founded my first company supplying security personnel to venues across Oxfordshire, London and Scotland. That hands-on experience running frontline operations laid the foundation for what would later become Apex Security Consulting Ltd  a firm built on reliability, integrity, and strategic foresight.

Today, Apex provides strategic and operational security solutions for corporate, private, and event clients throughout the UK and Europe. My team and I have proudly supported high-profile operations including Perth Racecourse, Scone Palace Horse Trials (4★ Stables), and multiple private estates, earning recognition from senior organisers for our professionalism, documentation standards, and proactive risk management.

Beyond operational work, I am also a published security author and policy advisor. My written work includes:
